If you thought the inheritance tax raid on farmers was bad, wait till you see what its proponents have in store for us next, says Mat Brown. The Blob that gave us the 'tractor tax' has its sights set on a wealth tax.

Not long ago, anyone criticising St Greta was labelled a bully. Her expertise in climate science was beyond question, despite leaving school at 14. Now, it looks like the heretics were right and the worshippers were fools.

Press Release
IRISH HORSES BETRAYED….as Irish Government plans to export to China…a country steeped in animal abuse. It goes without saying that being a thoroughbred racehorse gets you no better treatment from those who exploit you.
As horse racing pundits in the UK give lip service to the horse killings at the Grand National we do not hear many racing supporters condemning the move by the Irish Government to supply China with Irish horses.

School children to be introduced to gambling and animal abuse.

Who would have thought the school curriculum in Ireland would be introducing children to Gambling and animal abuse?
The Irish Greyhound Board, the IGB, are now offering students and teachers tours of Greyhound stadia around the country. These same racing tracks allow children to bet their pocket money as no age limit applies to anyone placing bets. The IGB, synonymous with trying to export Greyhounds to China and with cruel treatment towards unwanted hounds are using school tours to indoctrinate children into gambling.

At the household charges meeting on the 24th March Socialist Democracy distributed leaflets advertising a meeting on the Greek crisis in Dublin at 7-00 on Thursday 5th. Press Release: CALL FOR IMMEDIATE END TO ANIMALS IN CIRCUSES

AFAR yet again call for a ban on animals in Circuses after a circus trainer was trampled by an elephant today in Cork. Our sympathies lie with the animals who are imprisoned in circuses for entertainment. We call on our elected representatives to use common sense on this issue which is growing more pressing as absolutely no legislation exists in Ireland to prohibit the keeping of exotic species. The Department of Agriculture are responsible for issuing import licences for these animals on request. WE WANT THESE LISENCES STOPPED.

The People's Association Watchdog are calling for a deferment of amendment Article 136, and ratification of the ESM untill after the referendum on the 'The Fiscal Compact' so the people of Ireland can make an informed choice without fear or favour.
We further require that the government ensure our sovereign right to say yes or no by ensuring a referendum on the ESM.
This letter is avilable for all to send to our public representatives.

Today the NAMA To Nature group struck again. This time in Cherrywood industrial estate, Dublin near the Luas line. In an act of civil disobedience a group of 12 people in business suits started planted trees this morning at 7am on an area of wasteland beside the Luas track along the edges and ridges to help shield the eyesore from the nearby apartment block part of which is a ghost estate.

Ireland has over 600 ghost estates and 40,000 empty dwellings. Rather than watch the government dither and procrastinate let's help nature take them back. ... read full story / add a comment
