Indeed Should Gilmore, Lynch and Rabbbitte be questioned about the crimes committed by the Official IRA> I'm not suggesting that they were members of the OIRA, I have no evidence of that.

One thing is certain: Gilmore, Lynch and Rabbitte could not have been unaware of the activities of the OIRA. When they were members of OSF/SFWP/WP the party paper The United Irishman carried War News of the OIRAs actions. read full story / add a comment

The essential point is that Sinn Fein/IRA betrayed its core principles many years ago when it officially accepted the existence of political partition and its two reactionary states on both sides of the border. This means it accepts the validity of the imperialist domination of the island of Ireland.

In a submission to the National Peatlands Strategy, Friends of the Irish Environment have pointed out that total emissions from our bogs are of the same scale as total emissions from the transport sector.

However, the authors write that ‘the importance of our peatlands for the climate is not correctly acknowledged by the draft Strategy. As a result the draft Strategy fails to integrate with climate change policy and indeed is in conflict with Ireland's obligations under the UNFCCC.’ read full story / add a comment

German imperialism was left in an extremely weakened state militarily after world war 2. It depended on US imperialism and its stooges to help it stand against Stalinism. With the collapse of Stalinism it sought peace and friendly relations with the new Russian power. Within this umbrella its economic power flourished. This is now threatened. So also is the entire stability of Europe. the stupidity of US imperialism as its thrashes about in its death those is no help.
