Another Austerity Budget is looming: The government is currently discussing how to implement €3.1bn of austerity in October’s Budget (and another €2bn in 2015). The impact of previous budget cuts are devastating those on lower incomes and in poverty, the public health system, special needs supports, the unemployed, those in mortgage arrears etc. Austerity is destroying our society and economy. Assembling at 1 pm on Saturday 12th October at the Garden of Remembrance, Parnell Square, Dublin, to march to the GPO. The budget for 2014 is expected to take yet another €3 billion out of the economy, at a rate of two to one in favour of cuts over taxation.
