"Symbols are what unite and divide people. Symbols give us our identity, our self-image,our way of explaining ourselves to others. Symbols in turn determine the kinds of stories we tell; and the stories we tell determine the kind of history we make and remake." Mary Robinson, Inauguration speech as President of Ireland, December 3, 1990 Introduction On the night of the 8 March 1966 a massive explosion was heard in the centre of Dublin and Nelson's Pillar came crashing to the ground in hundreds of tons of rubble. No one was hurt and a stump was all that could be seen of the 157 year old monument. It was not the first time that monuments had been attacked in Ireland and certainly not the last, at least figuratively, with a series of later monuments accruing many derogatory nicknames from the Dublin people. The recent spate of attacks on monuments in the US and the Uk has opened up the debate on the cultural issues they provoke, ranging from those who can't believe the attacks hadn't happened sooner to those who see their destruction as mob vandalism. read full story / add a comment

While the Covid pandemic hoax to usher in a global police state just gets more interesting by the day. This latest story just demonstrates another aspect of the deeply sinister agenda Nurse filmed her experience in the “epicenter” of the NYC Covid outbreak. Describes patients —mostly poor black people — classified COVID despite multiple negative tests, then catching it from COVID ward, unnecessarily intubated and dying from treatment. Hospital gets cash, numbers go up. Everyone wins except all the dead black people. read full story / add a comment

This story is being reposted in full because it points out that there is probably a sinister agenda being used by the US government behind the sudden and rapid rise of the Floyd protests around the world by the way they are heavily promoted and encourage in the MSN media whereas in the past they always ignore, underplay or discredit anything progressive like anti-war protests, poverty issues etc. The death of George Floyd is just one of many unjustified murders of black people by the US state. This is not a recent problem and goes back to some degree to the 1960s when black people rose up against injustice in the days of Martin Luther King. At that time the Black Panthers arose and many others and the movement had swung to the Left which scared the establishment. A decision was taken by the establishment to criminalize all blacks and that is what they did. The first step was to launch the FBI CoIntelPro operation against the black panthers and other groups by creating divisions, rumours, instigating gang warfare, outright murder by the state and very long term prison sentences for people in the movement using trumped up charges. The next step which really kicked in during the Reagan years was to massively increase the prison population so much so that today most black men in the USA between the ages of 20 and 30 have been imprisoned basically for little reason. At the same time throughout the 1970s and 1980s the CIA ran drug running into the inner cities as brilliantly exposed by Gary Webb who proved in court the CIA fuelled the crack epidemic. The purpose was to smash black communities. Again largely successful. So here we are today and once again the trauma of what has happened is being used for other sinister plans against the population as a whole. It is in this context that the piece below should be read. read full story / add a comment

Now that the lockdown has been secured and people have been convinced of all the manipulation and lies and the police state measures have been accepted, it is very hard to overturn these in peoples mind and for them to accept the whole reason for economic suicide has largely been a hoax. It is therefore safe for the mainstream media to publish more truthful information and some of them are doing. The reason is because they will be able to say they did -eventually -publish the facts if anything should go wrong -that is resistance against the police state and the second reason is because it will make little difference at this stage since the objectives of phase 1 of the global police state have been achieved. So it is with this that Bloomberg is now telling us what those you have been paying attention already know and that is the Covid poster child of Europe -Italy that 96% of all the virus deaths suffered from other illness and were already dying. read full story / add a comment

With the current rush to fast-track a vaccine that will supposedly stop the Coronavirus, it is important to look at some of the history of vaccines, especially ones developed to supposedly stop viruses. Perhaps one of the most deadly and dangerous vaccines to ever hit the market in the U.S. is the Gardasil vaccine which supposedly targets a virus that is thought to cause cancer, the human papillomavirus (HPV). read full story / add a comment

Story on Zero Hedge gets it right.... How does one define an economic “reopening”? I think most people would say that a reopening means that everything goes back to the way it was before the crisis; or at least as close as possible. Most people would also say that a reopening is something that will last. Simply declaring “America has reopened” while keeping many restrictions in place in certain parts of the country is a bit of a farce. And, reopening with the intention of implementing lockdowns again in a matter of weeks without explaining the situation to the public is a scam of the highest order read full story / add a comment

Across the nation, police are being told to not apprehend criminals but instead, to arrest parents at playgrounds, to arrest lone surfers on public beaches, to fine ministers and congregation members sitting in their cars listening to a service on the radio, and to restrict movement by creating one-way sidewalks. People have had enough. They are beginning to see the huge scam that has been perpetrated on the entire world over a viral infection with a global death rate of 1.4% (meaning, 1.4% of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have a fatal outcome, while 98.6% recover). This is far fewer deaths than a severe flu season. read full story / add a comment

Prof Neil Ferguson who was the chief advisor to the UK government in the lead up to the Covid lockdown and was instrumental in bringing it about based his advice on the output of his own undocumented computer code he wrote 13 years ago. In the initial stages of the crisis his "model" predicted 500,000 deaths in the UK from Covid. Then a short time later, he revised his figures sharply downward and said his model now predicted to 20,000 deaths. This incidentally is the same number of deaths from flu in the UK in a typical year. So it appears to be the case that the UK has committed economic suicide based on software that no-one else could inspect in advance nor was there any independent verification. To make decisions based on this type of methodology is nothing short of criminal. And we haven't even got to the assumptions used which obviously are on equally shaky ground given one day the model was predicting 500,000 dead and then when obviously some level of correction was done, it was then only 20,000. read full story / add a comment

The weekend just gone by in the UK was a bank holiday weekend and the weather was really good. Millions of UK citizens fed up with the lunatic lockdown defied the authorities and were out in parks, beaches and on the streets in their droves. There were so many the police gave up trying to impose it. Even some pubs here and there opened up and people sat out enjoying the sun and having a pint. All the pubs should open rather than commit economic suicide and they should ask their customers to defend them. Up to that point the UK government message was Stay At Home. Today when many people returned to work it is reckoned the numbers up back to the near 70% to 80% of normal. Some of the London tubes were packed and nobody dropped dead as a result. This morning media figures including many celebrity figures were stunned and wondered what was going on while many who had stuck rigidly to the rules realized they have been fooled and lied to in the past 6 to 8 weeks. read full story / add a comment

As another country ratifies the CETA trade agreement, the pressure will come on Ireland to do the same. The question that arises is where will the Greens stand on it as they ready themselves to get into power. Perhaps they will sell themselves out even before they get there. The countries that have ratified CETA are Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and now Luxembourg. read full story / add a comment

Should sustainability and affordability be a major factor in the design and development of future buildings? What about aesthetics? There are many individual examples of modern buildings today that have positive aesthetic qualities, but can major future problems, like climate change, be resolved by individual efforts? Or will it take the role of the state with grand visions for the future? read full story / add a comment

This is a repost of a story covering the video of the two brave doctors from California explaining how the lockdown is not necessary. The video was banned on YouTube but was then put up on Vimeo but has not been banned from there too. Dr. Daniel W. Erickson of Bakersfield, California, is a former emergency-room physician who co-owns, with his partner Dr. Artin Massih, Accelerated Urgent Care in Bakersfield. They are experienced medical professionals who have 40 years of hands-on experience in dealing with viruses and respiratory infections. Watching the news in China in January, they knew the virus was on its way. They ordered many COVID-19 tests because they knew they would need them. They tested many thousands of people, and discovered for themselves what epidemiologists around the world are saying: COVID-19 came here earlier than previously believed, is more ubiquitous, and ultimately for the general population less deadly than we thought. read full story / add a comment

Never before in the history of the world has there been such a massive and widespread shutdown of the economy for as long as for this Covid-19 scare. As of today April 21st it has been more or less shutdown for a month and the politicians instead of doing their usual and saying we will be out of this soon are saying we need to continue it indefinitely and even when the lockdown is lifted, it will only be gradual return to normality. Clearly everyone is worried and a lot depends on how long this lockdown continues for. The question is not whether the economy both here in Ireland and globally will be damaged but more by how much. This is an important question because real lives depend on what happens in it Here we attempt to assess where we are, what has happened and what logic dictates are some of the possible outcomes. read full story / add a comment

The mainstream media is acting as a mouth organ for the WHO and the state. There is very little coverage that questions the whole narrative of the Covid-19 lock down and police state measures nor any question of why the country is committing economic suicide. The propaganda has been relentless and so effective and it appears few seem bothered that their jobs and livelihoods have been trashed. This story will contain links to what is happening elsewhere and the types of questions and answers that are appearing. This stuff should be front page on the mainstream media, but you do have to ask why not. How times have changed. In the space of a few weeks ordinary things like going to the beach or swimming have become illegal activities, criminal acts. We have sleep walked into a police state and we are clapping our way through it. We are told that the lockdown will have to continue indefinitely. We are told there will be more rounds of Covid-19 each worse the next. This is completely counter to most diseases which get milder over time. We are told when the lock down lifts, groups no larger than 10 will be allowed. What does that mean for flying, going to the theatre, cinema, concerts, football matches. Going to the beach, staying in a hotel. Actually it’s pure crap and if we don’t wake up and reject this bullshit, we are totally fucked. read full story / add a comment |
