This article covers the continuing crisis in Iran, workers struggles, prisoners hunger strikes, the show trials and the Regimes problems in getting a new Cabinet appointed. Full text of article at link below. Kashan textile employees are amongst those staging demonstrations against the non-payment of wages . This month there was a major dispute at the Pars Wagon Company, when workers destroyed the canteen in protest at non-payment of wages, smashing windows and breaking tables and chairs.News coverage of events in Iran often concentrates on what is happening amongst the ruling circles, but Pars metal workers protesting against job cuts, low wages and poor working conditions for the last six months say they will continue their protests until the media inside “Iran’s capitalist hell” is shamed into broadcasting their demands. |

Jump To Comment: 1Ahmadinejad has also appointed Ahmad Vahidi to be defence minister despite (OR MAYBE BECAUSE OF) the fact that he organised a terrorist attack on a Jewish centre in Buenos Aires in July 1994 that killed 85 people and injured more than 200. Vahidi was in charge of operations for the al Quds wing of the Revolutionary Guards at the time, this division of the Guard organises overseas operations for the Iranian regime, and there may have been cooperation with some of Argentina's large neo-nazi groups who also target Jews and Jewish organisations in the country. Perhaps the appointment should be seen as consistent with Ahmadinejad's repeated Holocaust denials and other anti-Semitic utterances since his election in 2005.
