Preas Raiteas:Report From Childrens Hospital Protest Crumlin

category dublin | rights, freedoms and repression | press release author Saturday June 27, 2009 22:39author by Damien Dillon [P.R.O] - Le Chéile Saor Report this post to the editors

Le Chéile Saor attend Our Ladys Childrens Hospital Protest. This was our first protest of many to come that we attended.

Press Release/Preas Raiteas
Le Chéile Saor
Republican Socialism Today.

On a scorching hot day in Crumlin County Dublin protesters gathered at Our Ladys Hospital For Sick Children along the path close to the long mile road.It was estimated around 350-400 protesters attended which in our eyes was disappointing especially in the case of sick children, many whom are awaiting life threatening operations due to Mary Harney and the free state goverments refusal to provide much needed funds. The Protest began at 2pm and finished around 3.15pm.The media were all over it,photographers and television cameras.Several Protesters with sick children awaiting beds in the hospital spoke loud and clear about there feeling towards miss Harney and the free state goverment.A fine gael representative was in attendance, provisional Sinn Fein and Le Chéile Saor all took part in the protest. The protest organisers near the end made an announcement complaining about PSF using the event for personal gain and publicity due to their members trying to hand PSF plaqards to every protester including children. We Le Chéile Saor are glad we attended and will be at every protest organised in the future.

SAVE OUR CHILDREN, SAVE OUR FUTURE.

Statement Ends.
