A picture that was spread all over the international media purporting to show the stoning of and Iranian woman has been exposed as a fake.

The picture is in fact from a film and the actress is Smadar Monsinos. You may want to ask yourself how much other spin and propaganda is being sold to you as 'News' from Iran

I cant find anything about at that site, which is not exactly user friendly. Hard labor indeed looking around it. But whats your point? Women are stoned to death in Iran.
Perhaps Amnesty International, Reporters Without Frontiers, HRW are all tellong lies about Iran? I think not. I'll believe them rather than you.

The penalty for adultery under Article 83 of the penal code, called the Law of Hodoud is flogging (100 lashes of the whip) for unmarried male and female offenders. Married offenders may be punished by stoning regardless of their gender, but the method laid down for a man involves his burial up to his waist, and for a woman up to her neck (article 102)

Article 104 of the Law of Hodoud provides that the stones should not be so large that a person dies after being hit with two of them, nor so small as to be defined as pebbles, but must cause severe injury. This makes it clear that the purpose of stoning is to inflict grievous pain on the victim, in a process leading to his or her slow death.

Stoning women to death in Iran, A Special Case Study, includes the cases where "stoning to Death" has been reported by the newspapers in Iran.

Thought it was self explanatory. The people who posted this picture claiming it was proof of stoning were lying and they knew they were lying. It was even up on Indymedia for a while.

The propaganda is being run mostly by the Workers Communist Party of Iran, the sister party of the Workers Communist Party of Iraq that started the Iraq Freedom Congress along with a strange mix of Zionist, Royalist and others.

Maryam Namazie of Worker Communist Party of Iran is also behind other anti-Islamic groups such as The Council of ex-Muslims of Britain. She is seen in one of these pictures protesting at Al Quds day in London last October. Al Quds day is to support Palestinian people and there are the Workers Communist Party of Iran! Do you think women are stoned in Palestine?

Next to her in the picture is Reza Moradi who disrupted the Stop The War Coalition "Time To Go" demo in Manchester. He did his best to disrupt Tony Benn there until he was thrown out. Does Tony Benn stone women?

Also protesting against the demand for Palestinian rights at Al Quds day in London are Iranian Royalists, who can be seen waving the Pahlavi flag of the Shah. Also note the Zionists standing next to the Communists. The close up picture is of neocon blogger Zionist Edgar Davidson.

This picture shows the blatant sectarian anti-islamic nature of the Iranian Communist Party. Reza Moradi is holding a poster with the cartoons Muslims found offensive. This is not about workers rights or womens rights, it is about finding an umbrella under which they can attack and insult Islam. The poster bears the 'Communist Youth Organisation' mark. If you look at the stories on their site you will see a strange similarity with those pasted here on a regular basis by a certain contributor.

I did a google image search of "Maryam Namazie Ireland" and I came across this disgraceful post.

Iranian feminists risk their lives and the lives of their families to criticise the theocratic right wing ruling elite of their own country and the very least a left wing man from the comfort of his mother's attic in Ireland should do is leave her alone if he is so troubled by an Iranian woman expressing a desire for even a small portion of the rights we all enjoy in the west. Ideally, you might hope, he could even show some good old fashioned international solidarity.

The initial post implies the use of this image is part of some kind of conspiracy of lies against the ruling elite of Iran. If the contributor is not going to openly say what he is implying, which is that the stonings are not happening or are exaggerated, then he should either withdraw or rephrase his original post, or let us know his real name so that Namazie and her comrades in the British ex-Muslim association can take the argument up with him personally. He should also take responsibility for attacking feminists and communists who are already risking their lives to criticise their own government. If Namazie was from the west, everyone would call the contributor a misogynist but as always, feminists from the muslim world are attacked viciously by privileged white western leftists for wanting the rights that they take for granted.

I wouldn't trust a leftist as far as i could throw him/her.. you hit the nail on the head and explained what i have thought for years about leftists, here we have ex muslim arab women come out and risk their lives and livelyhoods to speak out against the mysoginistic theocracy of islam, some of their family members could be shunned from the community and pressure put on their family even to produce an honour killing to save the family shame.

Here we have in contrasts leftists from the comfort of mammys attic or garage or some comfortable middle class twat pontificating and down playing the role ex muslims play in securing free speech for all in our international community.

Just because you are a vegitarian doesn't mean you will not get eaten by a lion,i apply that same logic to being a lefitst, just because you are a leftist doesn't mean you wont come to harm.

In response to the last poster i dont trust leftists either, their intentions for us are not what they seem, they have long been teamed up with islamics and apologised and explained away their violent actions..

this leaves our society open to dangerous islamic savages thanks to left wing apolgists..

Even western feminists to a degree have been on team islam for quite some time too, here is some youtube clip from a man explaining the situation, this is an education for people who haven't a true grasp of what is going on..

relations between US and Iran start to thaw

Posts dredging up the grim custom of stoning of women start surfacing all over internet.

Israel is pissed off that Iran are talking with the US

Gee....I wonder are these things connected??

The fact is, Israel couldn't actually give a shit about muslim women being killed. In fact it's rather good at killing them too. However, using their suffering to further the political interests of Israel, now that's different!

I do not condone any mistreatment of women whatsoever due to theocratic laws and would be a campaigner against such ugly sexist laws being imposed on women. Stoning is a primitive anachronism in any country and should be outlawed.

However, in the interests of being consistent here, I have to point out also that clearly many many more women (and children) are suffering because of the crippling sanctions imposed on Iran at the behest of Israeli zionist government, than due to stonings which are now relatively rare.

I would suggest to pro Israel hasbara posters and "useful idiots" swayed by their cynical rhetoric that they should immediately petition to have all sanctions dropped against Iran, if they truly care about Iranian women (and children) so much that is, so their great suffering is relieved and they again have access to basic medicines etc.

It might be nice too if Israel destroys it's arsenal of 200+ nuclear weapons and of course all it's chemical weapons so all the poor suffering women of Iran are no longer living under the threat of total annihilation or choking chemical death at the hands of zionist warhawks in the Israeli government!

Im very cynical about you saying you are truly interested in women's rights worldwide,i think that a lot of this is like kicking a political football, you are not really interested in human rights, just point scoring by saying america is the biggest terrorist blah blah blah the usual rhetoric to take the attention away from male sanctioned violence against women in the quaran..That is the ROOT of the problem. Not american war planes as much as you would like them to be..

author by fredpublication date Thu Oct 10, 2013 16:07author address author phone Report this post to the editors

bombing the shit out of women and children and depriving them of vital medicines is also male sanctioned violence against women on a large scale and in a systematic fashion.

sure, beating your wife is heinous, but blowing her and her children to pieces is not??

Is taking military actions that inevitably turn a woman's country into a failed state run by extremist jihadist militia that hate women a step in the right direction for women's rights?

Women were free to walk the streets and get a proper education under Saddam and Gadaffi.

Now look at those places. Are women in those countries better off now?

Don't try to use women's rights as an excuse for cynical self serving military incursions and regime change.

Whatever rights they may have before, women have absolutely no rights when the bullets start flying.

Social change has to come from within and is a gradual process.

Foreign imperialists don't give a shit about women's rights. Where are the armies threatening sanctions and invasion of Saudi Arabia or Congo?

You bang on about foreign imperialists, and bascially try to tie the fact there will be wars with the specific issue of womens rights.

They are two seperate issues,an american warplane doesn't discriminate so to apportion the blame at the foot of an american soldier is way off course here, and i am sure you can see that too.

Why don't you talk about the fact a woman cannot leave the house without being fully dressed in a burka,or the fact she cannot EVER,EVER leave the house without a male escort.

Recently the men of a village in pakistan agreed that a woman should not be even allowed to shop for food UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES,these women did go out and risk their lives, this was the same village where the 15 year old girl malala was shot for going to school.

I notice you are salivating to point the blame at american soliders who do not discriminate, but won't point the blame at the men of allah who regularly stone women to death, hang them beat them and rape them and kill them in prison, throw acid in their faces and so on.

It seems you are not genuinely interested in women's rights fred.

You have FUCK ALL to say on these issue don't you, just defend islam, eventhough it is sanctioned in the very quaran im sure you will slither and sneak and find a way to defend that.

You are beneath contempt.
