Women's International Network of the World Association of Community Broadcasters organize 16 days of Activism
People are asked to contribute to the 16 days live broadcast by Radio Pirate-Woman, giving their own experiences and opinions as to how to end violence against women. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RADIO PIRATE-WOMAN (FM102) in conjunction with Women’s International Network of the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters (AMARC-WIN) will be on the air every day (12 noon – 2 pm) from Sunday November 25th until Monday December 10th. We are inviting women to come to our kitchen-radio at 10 St Bridget’s Place Lower, Woodquay, Galway, to contribute on air, or listen. (Wheelchair access & children welcome under parental supervision.) This will be part of AMARC-WIN’s international Internet Campaign to highlight 16 days of activism against gender violence. This year, the theme of the broadcasts will be: “Demanding Implementation, Challenging Obstacles: End Violence against Women”.
