Jump To Comment: 1 2 3In days of yore the Labour Party may have issued a statement such as this ,in defence of workers rights.
Nowadays we have to be content with mere allusions to such statements and positions by Ireland largest supposedly left-wing party.
The spokesperson for transport, the normally more reliable Tommy Broughan said in a statement-
"I am sure that the issues at the centre of this dispute are significant for the workers concerned and the company, but are they of sufficient importance to justify such inconvenience and disruption for passengers?"
"I am sure that what most passengers will want to see is somebody moving in to 'knock heads together' and ensure that it is sorted out."
A stronger statement of support for the workers is surely what they deserve rather than propping up the isial "disruption to the customers" focus.
Broughan is a disgrace and an obvious enemy of the workers' movement.
The talking up of broughan by supposed 'labour lefts' in the light these scab-worthy comments is sickening
Do the IWU still have members in Dublin Bus? If so, how many?
