 Rerun of the Vita Cortex workers saga again On Monday 26th March all the GAMES stores were shutdown. Once again it is workers who have got the raw deal and in a re-run of the Vita Cortex workers the GAME shop workers have been left without any redundancy or any pay due to them for outstanding holidays or notice periods. Text of notice reads:
GAME has told all employees in the republic of Ireland that they are being made redundant. We were informed that we would not be paid redundancy or any statutory or contractual notice periods or any outstanding annual leave. We the employees of GAME IRELAND believe the way we are being treated is wholly unfair and unjust. We are now sitting in our stores as a form of protest until GAME and PWC address our concerns. www.twitter.com/@GameIREfight |

Game, the computer game stores, have joined the ranks of La Senza, Vita Cortex, Thomas Cooks, Lagan Bricks and many others companies who imagine they can walk all over
workers and their rights. Workers are now entering their third day sitting in their stores in order to demand redundancy payments. After years of service, in some cases as many as 20, years of accumulating profits for Game, workers are last in the queue of 'creditors' when the company goes into administration......
